HEART Pet Rescue - Rehoming Displaced Dogs and Cats

Say hello to another familiar face! Heaven and Earth Animal Rescue Team (HEART) is a nonprofit, all volunteer, limited admission pet rescue organization funded by private donations. They are committed to reducing the number of homeless and unwanted companion animals through education programs, spay and neuter programs, and the responsible re-homing of homeless and unwanted dogs and cats.
HEART is a limited admissions rescue, meaning they can only take in as many animals as their foster homes can safely and responsibly care for. They do not euthanize animals to make room for more. They simply stop taking in new animals until they have room. Each homeless companion animal will remain in HEART's care until he or she finds a new home.
HEART was started in 2005, and the founders eventually settled on dogs under 20 pounds to target for their program, knowing that many small dogs did no show well at shelters and needed more time to settle before being adopted. HEART was also one of the few groups that could take on dogs with behavior challenges, work with them, and find them an appropriate home. They also have a special place in their HEART for dogs with various health and age-related challenges!
Their goal is to find loving and permanent homes for these animals and to match them with homes that are looking for that special pet and will make them a member of the family. The health and welfare of the animals that come to HEART is paramount. All animals receive a medical evaluation, are fully vaccinated, if old enough are spayed and neutered before adoption, and any health problems are taken care of immediately.

Are you seeking an active partner for walks, hikes, and hanging out at the nearby brewery? Poppie may be your girl! She's active and eager to please! She loves going for walks, has enjoyed going to the beach, and has been on a few hikes in area parks! She might be a good candidate for K9 Parkour!
Poppie has done great in her foster home, likes other dogs, has met a cat and didn't get into trouble, and has met lots of new people! She's a fun little dog who is just searching for the right place to call home!
