Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic - Vet Care for Rescue Pets

Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic Blog Announcement

Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic (HARC) is joining Spring Fling for their first time this year. HARC is committed to helping pet rescue organizations save more lives by providing timely, low-cost, high-quality veterinary care. Their non-profit 501(c)3 clinic is the only non-profit animal rescue clinic on the East Coast. HARC doesn't adopt out animals directly; they provide vet care to rescues!

HARC was founded on a deep commitment to community and animal welfare. In 2018, as Harmony Animal Hospital (HAH) moved into a new facility, founders Dr. Jodi Reed and Jason Lenhardt saw more than just an empty building - they saw an opportunity to give back to the community that had supported them for nearly a decade.

Fueled by Dr. Jodi’s passion for helping rescue groups care for homeless cats and dogs, they transformed the original HAH location into HARC. Since then, HARC has become vital to the animal welfare ecosystem - partnering with over 120 rescue groups, treating more than 11,000 animals, and performing 9,100+ surgeries. These numbers reflect lives changed, homes found, and futures rewritten.

Each rescue story shared here represents a life changed through compassionate care, ranging from simple exams to life-saving treatments. HARC has many Happy Tails stories on their website: https://harcnc.org/happy-tails/.

Read one of the featured stores about a blind and deaf Great Dane puppy named Cricket:

"When Tracey first saw the listing for Cricket, her heart sank even as it swelled. A double merle Great Dane puppy—blind, deaf, and only four months old. The kind of dog that rescue coordinators whisper about in worried tones, knowing the odds are stacked impossibly high. Special needs puppies rarely get second looks, much less second chances. And a Great Dane puppy with no sight and no sound? Most people would scroll right past."

But not Tracey. She stepped in and gave Cricket a second chance. Read Cricket's "Happy Tail" here: https://harcnc.org/happy-tails-cricket/.
