Barkleigh's Cafe and Rescue is here for their first-ever Spring Fling! Owners, Stephanie and Nikki, sew bandanas and bow ties for cats, dogs, and other pets. They have seasonal bandanas as well as phrase bandanas with different phrases. Additionally, they create designs and print t-shirts/tote bags for animals lovers alike. Barkleigh's makes these products to share in the joy our pets bring us each day.

Barkleigh’s Café and Rescue owners Stephanie Buchko and Nikki Myers originally met each other in 2015 while working at Boss Key Productions, a video game startup located in downtown Raleigh. The idea for Barkleigh’s was originally conceived from “what if” exercises that they would do for fun while going on lunch walks or sitting together on the swivel bar stools in the break area during work.

However, unlike the other random ideas they would hash out, Barkleigh’s took hold and became something that the two decided would be a great fit for the Wake County Area. And with that, Steph and Nikki began working towards converting this “what if” into a reality.

Barkleigh’s is currently working towards its ultimate goal of opening a dog café in order to work with local area rescues to facilitate visitations with a constant rotation of adoptable friends in a laid-back and casual environment. Currently Barkleigh’s is raising money by creating fun accessories for your furry companions that are available for purchase. Each purchase of pet accessories, t-shirts, or even a simple donation will help keep Barkleigh’s moving forward one paw at a time.
