Barkleigh's Cafe and Rescue is here for their first-ever Spring Fling! Owners, Stephanie and Nikki, sew bandanas and bow ties for cats, dogs, and other pets. They have seasonal bandanas as well as phrase bandanas with different phrases. Additionally, they create designs and print t-shirts/tote bags for animals lovers alike. Barkleigh's makes these products to share in the joy our pets bring us each day.

Barkleigh’s Café and Rescue owners Stephanie Buchko and Nikki Myers originally met each other in 2015 while working at Boss Key Productions, a video game startup located in downtown Raleigh. The idea for Barkleigh’s was originally conceived from “what if” exercises that they would do for fun while going on lunch walks or sitting together on the swivel bar stools in the break area during work.


However, unlike the other random ideas they would hash out, Barkleigh’s took hold and became something that the two decided would be a great fit for the Wake County Area. And with that, Steph and Nikki began working towards converting this “what if” into a reality.


Barkleigh’s is currently working towards its ultimate goal of opening a dog café in order to work with local area rescues to facilitate visitations with a constant rotation of adoptable friends in a laid-back and casual environment. Currently Barkleigh’s is raising money by creating fun accessories for your furry companions that are available for purchase. Each purchase of pet accessories, t-shirts, or even a simple donation will help keep Barkleigh’s moving forward one paw at a time.

Carolina's Comfort Vendor Announcement 2026

Joining our new local Spring Fling vendors of 2026, please help us welcome Carolina's Comfort! Carolina's Comfort is a small business based in North Carolina, designing and handcrafting cozy, functional items for pets, kids, and adults. Their product line includes portable pet beds, bandanas, and blankets; many of which are loved by humans too, from babies to grown-ups.

Carolina's Comfort Bed and Bandana

Carolina's Comfort pet beds are designed for comfort on the go and can be used on sofas, beds, car seats, strollers, and in pet-friendly spaces like coffee shops, breweries, and offices. All of their products are made with 100% cotton fabric and are fully machine washable.


Beds and bandanas are available in extra small, small, medium, and large to fit a wide range of pets. Every item is handmade by their mother-daughter team - with the help of Carla's 83-year-old mom - bringing over 60 years of sewing experience to each piece.


This business provides a creative outlet for both Carla and her daughter and gives her mom purpose and joy in her retirement. Her mom loves sewing and sharing her skills, while Carla enjoys designing the products, sourcing materials, and connecting with customers at events.
