SAFE Haven for Cats - For cats. For life.

SAFE Haven For Cats is not only a cat rescue, they offer so many important services that benefit cats in need in our community. The two main programs are their adoption program and their spay/neuter clinic.

"Founded in 1994, SAFE Haven for Cats is Raleigh’s no-kill shelter and low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Since opening, SAFE Haven has orchestrated the adoptions of more than 10,000 cats and kittens and spayed or neutered over 30,000 animals in our clinic."

SAFE Haven maintains a shelter on Durant Rd in Raleigh and that is where their adoptable cats are housed. In addition to the adoption program and low cost spay/neuter clinic, SAFE Haven has a food pantry to help pet owners in need feed their companion animals.

SAFE Haven doesn't just help pet cats, they also have a TNVR program to help feral and stray cats. TNVR is a program where cats are trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and then returned to where they were found to slow population growth and end the cycle of cat overpopulation.

As a 501(c)3 organization, SAFE Haven relies entirely on donations to run all of their programs. They also have an active volunteer program and utilize foster homes for cats that need more attention and care before they are ready for adoption. We are so excited to support them in all that they do and have them joining us for Spring Fling 2020!

Love Mutts Rescue is a central North Carolina and south central Virginia rescue. They are not a breed specific rescue and are volunteer based. Love Mutts Rescue work to find dogs in need in their community that they can give proper medical care to and then place into loving foster homes. Love Mutts Rescue’s goal is “to help all dogs that come into our rescue find the families that are destined to be theirs.” They certainly succeed in doing this and have stayed true to their original hope that they could serve as an avenue to rescue animals from shelters. Their dedicated volunteers and foster homes have saved so many animals and given plenty of people new furry family members!

We pawsitively can't wait to have The Boston Terrier Rescue of NC at Spring Fling!

The Boston Terrier Rescue of NC is an all volunteer based rescue based in Greensboro, NC. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home Boston Terriers who have been surrendered, abandoned, or abused. While the foster homes of The Boston Terrier Rescue of NC are all located in North Carolina, they take in dogs from South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and Maryland. The rescue also makes sure to heavily vet and educate potential adopters to ensure that each dog goes to a home that is perfect for them, therefore reducing the return rate of dogs. They have grown to have close bonds with humane societies and shelters so they can ensure the fast identification and relocation of Boston Terriers. They are dedicated to their breed and the wellbeing of dogs and that makes this rescue so inspiring to work with!
