The Goathouse Refuge is located in Pittsoboro, NC and is a completely no-kill animal sanctuary for cats. For the cats in their sanctuary, The Goathouse provides a cage-free environment where cats can receive love and care until permanent loving homes can be found. They also understand that not every cat is meant to be a typical pet, so for some of their cats who have unique situations, such as growing up as a feral cat. For these animals, The Goathouse is their permanent shelter and a place to call their own. For founder, Siglinda Scarpa, the philosophy is, “every cat has the right to a life free from both danger and indifference.” Everything The Goathouse does ties back to this philosophy and produces amazing results for so many cats in need!
