Greyhound Care and Adoption of NC Joins Spring Fling!

Greyhound Care and Adoption of North Carolina (GCA-NC) is joining us for their second year at Spring Fling! This incredible rescue group consists of greyhound enthusiasts who take in, care for and find homes for retired racing greyhounds from Ireland and England.

GCA-NC’s purpose is to provide retired racing greyhounds a path to adoption into caring

homes, ensuring their health and welfare, and educating the public about this breed as pets.

Their rescue believes in the power of community and collaboration. They strive to create a network of resources and shared knowledge that enhances the well-being of all sighthounds. They also support and endorse relationships with organizations and groups that practice humane and ethical treatment of their dogs.

GCA-NC adopted out over 50 greyhounds in 2025!!

Their mission is simple: to ensure every greyhound finds a loving home and receives the care they deserve. GCA-NC may have been recently established (2024), but their passion for greyhounds spans decades. Their board members and volunteers have dedicated years to caring for and advocating for this remarkable dog breed. With their immense experience in greyhound care and adoption, GCA-NC is committed to providing support to both current greyhound owners and those looking to welcome a greyhound into their family.

Their rescue regularly provides social events for greyhound (and sighthound) owners, including at Unleashed the Dog and Cat Store! From adoption events to dog wash fundraisers, GCA-NC is always doing something fun and beneficial for their greyhounds.
