Second Chance Pet Adoptions - saving animals in the Raleigh area since 1987.

Second Chance Pet Adoptions has attended Spring Fling since the very first one, and we are excited to have them joining us again this year! When asked what they love about Spring Fling this is what they said: "Unleashed has been a great supporter of Second Chance Pet Adoptions for many years and Spring Fling is a wonderful and very well-attended event. It gives rescue organizations like ours tons of exposure and we love the chance to network with other organizations. It creates tremendous opportunities to get more animals adopted and for that we are grateful!"

"Second Chance Pet Adoptions is the oldest no-kill animal rescue organization in Raleigh serving Wake County and the surrounding areas. Since our inception in 1987, we have helped over 19,000 dogs and cats find their forever homes. We also partner with other organizations and communities to promote responsible pet ownership with the goal of reducing future generations of homeless animals."

Second Chance started like most rescues do, with a small group that wanted to make a difference in the lives of homeless pets in their community. In the beginning, they were completely foster based but in 2004 the program and support had grown so much, they were able to open a cageless, no-kill facility to house cats. Their dogs still reside in foster homes, but they are one of the few rescues in the area that has a place you can go to visit adoptable cats.

One of their adoptable dogs is Suzy, pictured here! This girl is about three years old, and she sounds like a joy! She is described as resilient, full of personality, and loving. Despite having only one eye, nothing slows this girl down. She loves car rides, meeting people, eating yummy treats, and making new furry friends.

You can learn more about Suzy, Second Chance, the work they do, and see all their adoptable animals on their website. Make sure to follow them on their socials, Facebook and Instagram, to keep up with their activities, events, and all their adorable adoptable pets!
