Canine Community Outreach - closing the gap between affordable canine care and the community

In 2019 Canine Community Outreach of North Carolina was born. They have joined us a few times in the past for Spring Fling and we are excited to have them again this year. When asked what they enjoy about the event they said, "We love getting to be able to reach so many people with our message about the importance of spay and neuter. Every year we come, we get to educate more people. We also love getting to connect with rescues and see how we can collaborate. Plus it’s just so much fun!"

Co-founders Colleen and Kate share lifelong passion for pets and especially rescue dogs. They met in 2019 and the rest is history! While they love rescuing, their real goal is to reduce pet overpopulation and lessen the number of pets in need of rescue in the first place.

"We connect individuals in need with low-cost canine medical care, with a focus on spay and neuter, and also support medical fundraising for rescue dogs in need."

In addition to raising awareness of the need to spay and neuter and providing funds for special cases and assistance with spay/netuer costs, their Sasha Bean Memorial Fund helps one organization each year in their work to stop pet overpopulation.

You can learn more about their work on their website and follow them on their Facebook and Instagram pages to keep up with all their events.
